Feb 13, 2008 Robert Fish, COO of Integra Staffing & Search, has been named the Vice Chair of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Workforce Development Board (WDB) Executive Committee. Originally appointed by the city’s Mayor, Fish has been serving on the board as a private sector member since 2005 and was recently elected by membership as the new Vice Chair.

“It’s exciting to be elected to this position,” says Fish. “I look forward to helping provide the necessary resources the people of Charlotte need in order to successfully advance in the workforce.”

The WDB is a 24-person Board appointed by the Mayor of the City of Charlotte consisting of 13 private sector and 11 public sector members. The WDB’s purpose is to provide policy, planning and oversight for local workforce development programs and address workforce issues as identified by the community. The WDB plays a key role in designing a workforce development system that meets the needs of the unemployed, underemployed, youth, welfare recipients and other individuals seeking to enter the workforce.

In addition to his new role, Fish will also maintain his 2007 position as the Chair of the JobLinks Operations Management Team.
